Diehard GameFAN: TERA: The Exiled Realm of Arborea Review

DHGF: TERA set out to combine the best of the action, RPG and MOO genre and create something new. The action and combat are fantastic and really deliver on that end adding a depth to an action RPG skill set I haven’t seen before. The MMO end of things is lacking a bit of variety and while visually stunning in almost every way, the lack of really anything new beyond the combat might kill more long term interest in the title. It does offer up a solid end game for those who enjoy the game at lower levels and is the first MMO I could actually play with a 360 controller and truly enjoy it.

WoW is a mess and it will continue to be a mess. Still, the less-developed MMOs are going to have trouble gaining a fan base because they lack content right now. Even if people do flock to FF14 or BDO, they'll go back to WoW if they fix enough features or give players a shred of hope.
