Once again, some new info has been released by ImLimbo, this time about Unreal Engine 4.
Tim Burton’s vision of Gotham brought to life by passionate fans.
They should have been made a batman game for the best batman movie. This looks amazing and now I must watch the movie.
YouTube's 'ackehallgren' has recreated the Rimmer's Rest from Star Wars Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight in Unreal Engine 4.
NVIDIA and Epic Games have released an official Unreal Engine 4 RTX Tech Demo.
Really impressive tech but I don’t even notice all of these benefits in real life, never mind being chased by zombies in a video game. Rather devote resources to resolution and frame rate.
Yes after seeing the Unreal 5 ps5 reveal, I thought that's where we were heading. But saying that I have read various articles that suggest its easy for developers to still work on Unreal 4 and carry everything over to Unreal 5 when needed, we shall see.
The UE is a gold mine.
Hopefully bodies don't disappear after 10 seconds and water and fire won't look like shit like in 90% of games on UE3.
Also I hope next gen they unifie the engine like Valve did with the source engine 8 years ago.
Example, when you buy a new game on PS4 it uses the Unreal4 engine that is stored pn the hard drive and the engine can be update at any time independent of the game and then not every game on Unreal on the console takes up 4-5 gbs. It just installs some of the unique assets of that game. I don't give a crap what the overated engine is going to look like.

So bioshock 1 & 2 had bad water fire effects? Try again.
what i expect from batman arkham 3 using UE4:
- open world gotham city, can go anywhere anytime, including sewers
- batman + robin co-op, both with grapple/glide
- simultaneous co-op usage of batmobile, batbike, and/or batwing
- gta-like populated with people/cars
if they kept everything else the same i'd be ok with that.
