GamerFitNation: Canabalt has to be one of the simplest games out there. The game is developed by Semi Secret Software and published by Beat Shapers and features a small character constantly running in the right direction to get away from utter destruction after his world is taken over by an alien invasion.
As you’re running, you are faced with a bunch of obstacles that you must hurdle over in order to gain momentum and last longer in the game. The only control you have in the game is when and how far you jump. There is really no objective or end to this game.
PC Gamer: From Canabalt to Meat Boy, there are plenty we'll miss if they go away.
Kinglink writes: "One of the original infinite runners and done incredibly well, simple controls and a lot of gameplay. Definitely an exciting minimalist game. Original game is available on Kongregate."
