When Kinect Joy Ride launched with the Kinect, I didn’t bother buying it and just went ahead and downloaded the demo. I thought the game was sort of fun and the Kinect controls weren’t bad, but for the $50 they were charging, the game wasn’t fun or responsive enough to justify the high price tag. Well, Microsoft has decided to bring the series back in this Kinect-less Xbox Live Arcade version and, surprisingly, it is a lot of fun.

Its because without Kinect this actually controls pretty well and is a good Mario Kart clone unlike the Kinect version.

I thought joy ride was a good game but they should of given you the choice of controller or kinect and let you use kinect sat down. I may have a look at this new version though as it sounds like it could be a fun pickup and play game
