Metroid Fusion Retro Review

It doesn’t happen often enough when a game comes from nowhere with an experience that blows everyone away. An experience found nowhere else that presents such a bang effect. Metroid Fusion is that bang effect. I have never been so engrossed, so absorbed into the Metroid universe that it literally makes me beg over and over for more. You’re probably wondering: How does a game, like this, provide such a breath taking adventure? I think we should let my review do the answering of that.

Loved this game. Went in blindly not knowing what it was really, but when 'Metroid 4' popped up in the opening titles, I was sold. Heh.

It was amazing how this game instilled fear into my 10 year old heart. I played it so often I nearly did an under 2 hour run. I was a playthrough away from doing it until I lost it.

Release it in 3d on the eshop. All classic titles should all be rereleased in 3d for a decent price. None of this 7 dollars for a nes rom bullshit. Price it like so...

NES 1.99-2.99
Snes 2.99-4.99
GBA 2.99-4.99
N64 4.99-6.99
DS 6.99-9.99

I also want SSB 64 in 3d and also The Minish Cap in 3d. Man i would love that so much.

Metroid Dread laid the groundwork for a perfect Metroid Fusion remake

"Following the remakes of the first two Metroid titles, 2004’s Zero Mission and 2017’s Samus Returns, Super Metroid seems like it would be a perfect choice for the third remake, should Nintendo have an interest in pursuing another one after Metroid Dread. After all, it’s the next 2D entry in line for a makeover, and it’s arguably the most iconic and beloved installment in the entire franchise. However, 2002’s Metroid Fusion has some strikingly unusual structure and ideas that Dread subsequently altered and expanded upon, and applying that evolution of design back to Fusion could make for a perfect remake opportunity." - Nintendo Enthusiast

Would be cool. I'm about to emulate that, zero mission, and super.

I would settle for just having access to fusion on the switch but…

Why a remake? It laid out the foundation for a sequel! Come on you Metroid fans have been getting nothing until now and you rather a remake instead of continuing with an improved sequel? Smh

Well, Dread took apparently about 4 years, so a sequel right away would probably take 3 or so.
For a Fusion remake they could just take the engine they have now and pump it out in 1-2 years with a smaller team, since they dont actually have to design the game per se.
While some of the others start production on a sequel (or a completely different game), its not like the whole studio starts working on any given new project right away anyway

2D Metroid Retrospective: A Hunter Rises

VGChartz's Paul Broussard: "Metroid, as a series, had kicked off with a bang, albeit one held back by some questionable design choices. Future generations would come to view Metroid 1 and 2 as important games, but heavily dated. Excellent ideas and innovative concepts, ultimately held back by flaws in a few key areas. They just needed one last push to move into the realm of all time classics.

In 1994 they would get that push, with Super Metroid."

Wii U Virtual Console Must-Haves

Alex DS from Link Cable Gaming writes: "The Wii U is a great place to build up a collection of classic video games. And with Nintendo beginning to phase out the online services for this system we figured it was as good a time as any to go over the games that are must-haves from the Wii U Virtual Console!"
