STN: Bring Back....Wonder Boy

STN:

Back in the late 80′s and early 90’s, game companies were desperately trying to find a mascot that would keep us glued to the arcade machines and home consoles, no stone was left unturned to bring the cute and weird to gamers around the globe. Psycho foxes, crude dudes and battling toads all had a go but who would have thought from such a simple beginning a prehistoric boy would flourish into one of the best games of that generation, Wonder Boy in Monsterland; but that tale is for another day, as today I want SEGA to bring back the original, Wonder Boy.

They must bring Wonder boy back but only if it is side scrole platform.

JellyJelly4359d ago

Only if it's a side scrolling action RPG like Wonderboy 3, the best of the bunch :)

WonderboyIII4359d ago

Wonderboy was developed by Westone Bit Entertainment and published by Sega. Wonderboy was a Sega icon and was on fire. Peaking with Wonderboy III, one of the best action rpgs of all time where a 3d remake is easily seen in that series. There was a wonderboy game after that, and it was in japanese only. The star was a girl. A translated rom/patch is available.

Sega sells Relic and will cut 240 jobs across UK studios

The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."

Shame about Creative Assembly, they should have just been allowed to do an Alien Isolation sequel.

just_looken35d ago

It was that garbage coh 3 that did them in only a special team can make a sequel worse in every way even though it was a 10 year gap and the same era.

gold_drake35d ago

I hope they find new jobs in the industry soon.

Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive probably run on a shoe string budget so that fits into SEGA better lol
