Microsoft seeks patent for office 'spy' software

Microsoft is developing Big Brother-style software capable of remotely monitoring a worker's productivity, physical wellbeing and competence.

The Times has seen a patent application filed by the company for a computer system that links workers to their computers via wireless sensors that measure their metabolism. The system would allow managers to monitor employees' performance by measuring their heart rate, body temperature, movement, facial expression and blood pressure. Unions said they fear that employees could be dismissed on the basis of a computer's assessment of their physiological state.

I live in Texas and supported Bush as governor. After he became became President, it seems as if he's lost his fkn mind (or is carrying out his father's and Dicck Cheney's plans). Even most Republicans I know are disenchanted with his spending and fleecing of America. He has done nothing to stop illegal immigration and still has two Texas Border Patrol agents in PRISON for trying to apprehend a drug dealer for bringing in loads across the border. He also signed the order which basically melts away the sovereign borders of the United States w/o any input whatsoever from Congress or the American public. That's a fact jack.

First it was the European Union and then APEC. The North American Union is next. No soveriegnty, no borders, one government - eventually. Wake up and smell the cordite son before it's too late. Then again, it's probably already too late.

I love America. I love having the freedom to express my opinion and I have the utmost respect to my countries soldiers for fighting for me without question to protect that right and freedom. What I question is the leadership that put them in the situation they're in in the land they occupy.

what false pretenses are you speaking of. Saddam did have wmd's, he refused to let the un inspectors in and only after 6 months passed he let them in. Common sense should tell you why he did that, he harbored terrorist's. I dont think people put much thought into where we invaded and why we are there and not realize these things take time. I do agree, no one likes war and it sucks that we are in one. It especially sucks since the people who are fighting it arent able to do their jobs to their fullest ability's. In the spirit of respecting your views I'll just say I disagree with your view.

Saddam had no WMD's and that is very well documented. The last he had we're used on the Kurds a decade earlier. I'm also not sure on how up on your history you are, but you might find it interesting in looking up who put Saddam in power in Iraq. While your at it, Google "CIA Training and Osama" and see what you get for results.

Make no mistake I think the attack on the US was tragic and totally in need of response. We'll never get those people back and we'll never forget that day. But we need to be informed as to why the events following that attack led to us occupying Iraq. Iraq was not the problem. Osama was in Afghanistan. (and probably still is).

We also invaded a country, that we didn't invade completely a decade earlier, because as our hero's father stated "there is no viable exit strategy from Iraq".

I appreciate your input and your opinion, but ask that you take a hard look at the facts surrounding the situation before you finalize your opinion.
