Diablo 3 Review | JPS

The first 2 Diablo games were released to great fanfare and were received well by quite a bit of people. When Diablo 2′s expansion pack Lord of Destruction was released, many believed that Diablo 3 or a second expansion pack would be released soon. Little did we know that we would not see Diablo 3 until 11 years after the release of Lord of Destruction.

This new entry in the Diablo franchise brings back a lot of the same great elements from its predecessors. It features the same addicting hack and slash gameplay, the classic isometric camera angle that adds a little bit of an old school feel and a great story, on top of many other things. This game has been highly anticipated for far too long and it has led to the question on everyone’s mind — “Can it live up to the hype?” Let’s take a look at what’s HOT and what’s NOT in our review of Diablo 3.

I'm only on act 2 and just killed maghda. It's a great game. The haters need to just go back under their bridges. It is a great sequel.

I think what most people are mad about is they force you to have only 4 skills. IMO that makes the game more difficult since you cant rely on like 12 spells. Some changes i like some stuff i dont either way its a good game.

You have 6 skills from a massive pool of skills with a millions of possible combinations (with elective mode turned on), D2 you basically had 2 skills at once so I really don't get where you're are coming from.

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.

Diablo III - Still a Huge Draw in the Face of Diablo IV

Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.

Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?

kevco33424d ago

Heh, yeah. There's no comparison in here! Its a commentary on how III is still very playable over a decade later.
