Nuke Base Sentry Caught Playing Mobile Phone Games on Duty - GamePolitics

An airman assigned to guard a North Dakota base for US nuclear bombers was found to be playing a video game on his mobile phone, according to a recent inspection.

As reported by the Associated Press, the guard's inattention to duty was one of just a number of violations which caused Minot AFB to receive sub-par marks on the inspection, which must now be repeated in 90 days...

Yes you're correct. They flew from Minot AFB North Dakota to Barksdale Louisiana. I'm an AMMO troop in the USAF. And all I can say is... That whole situation was BS and nothing but a political hay day. Just like when USA got caught selling ARMS to Taiwan...all BS.

Anywho, as for the dude sleeping. Well if your working 12-16 hour days in Security Forces (6 on 1 off) you need something to keep your ass awake in the middle of nowhere guarding a plane or whatever he was guarding. Matter fact most of us have a PSP/GB/DVD player or whatever when doing exercises.

If a SF troop gets caught sleeping he/she will get an Article 15 and a lose of strip. 2 of those you'll get kicked out the AF. In this case as its all over the news...I'm almost certain he got an Article 15 anyways.

but your guarding nuclear missiles, and one being so stupidly transported somewhere is utterly inconceivable... Yes it happens thousands of jobs in the world, i hope you can tell that to the guy when one does actually get stolen or misplaced and millions people die due too it....im sure your just gonna get a Article 15 or worse kicked out of the air force...

Wish I could have replied to you long ago. But I was flying back from Bangkok Thailand.

Anywho, if you know how absolutely difficult it is to move nukes from outside the place they are being held...it wasn't a slight mistake by one person. This required the involvement of several people. Don't take news as you see it when you know the facts. The Air Force got caught. Just like it got caught selling those arms to Taiwan.

You think you might know alittle bit because of what you read in the news papers. Try joining the military and see how things work from the inside out.
