Bioware is the 2010 Naughty Dog..They pulled it off in spades..ME3 is set to break RPG sales records in a couple of years. EA also has got to be jumping for joy..they finally got some good news.

I honestly went into withdrawal for a couple of days after I finished Mass Effect 2..I didn't want it to end. Hopefully they go the Dragon Age route and release a huge expansion later in the year.

1.3 is right. People are too caught up in sales. I mean Wii sells the most but does that make it the best console availible? Not by a longshot. Just because something sells a lot doesnt mean you should be a blind sheep and follow along, which is what the article is implying you should do.

Mass Effect 2 may be good but I doubt it out sold "everything" (I lold at that part).

Not suprising since 360 games sell a lot. What I'm interested in is 360 hardware sales hardly went up. Microsoft can't seem to expand there hardware demographic. With Mass Effect 2 360 sells 340,000 units versus PS3 who sold 330,000 units but the PS3's best exclusive was only MAG.

Sales guaranty sequels. Sales pay the staff and grow the company to make more games. Sales help the developers buy more and better tech to improve the sequels. Sales help grow the fanbase so they can sell even more next time. So saying you don't care about sales every time a 360 game dominates sale is kind of on the dumb side of the discussion.

Bigpappy, I totally agree. When I like something, I hope it does well financially, because it means I might see more of what I like in the future. It's the same reason I buy CDs and pay for concert tickets; I want the artists and bands I like to get a little kickback, and I hope they can still put out great music. Same goes for games.

On topic, I will reiterate.Naughty Dog pulled off an amazing sequel last year and took home all the accolades. At the beginning of 2010 Bioware has done the same. Which is why I called them the 2010 Naughty dog.

I'm beside myself, because I would love to continue replaying ME2, but I'm knee deep in Bioshock 2 at the moment. once again..let the haters hate..Bioware and EA should be proud that it all came together..ME3 will dominate in a couple of years

Jason 360...you really made those guys look like fools....it's obvious that the 360 sells far more games than the ps3. The top ten best selling games on the 360 dwarfs the top ten best selling games on the ps3....67.44 million copies on the 360 vs 43.78 million copies on the ps3....and that holds true all the way down the line.

Everyone knows the 360 leads in the two biggest markets the US and the Uk. The ps3 leads in japan and the other europe territories. This pretty much balances out the sales as you can see from ubisofts sales data

My point was UK is the second largest gaming territory it's made up of GB and Northern Ireland.

When you add up France, Germany, Italy, Spain etc and the other countries where the ps3 lead that are included in the eu market it evens out to the UK.

The link I listed at the bottom does a breakdown of the global videogame market for 2009 and it clearly states at the beginning that the US, UK, and Japan are the 3 biggest game territories.

I have a question can you show me charts from the other EU markets? The reason I ask is because the reason I believe that the US, UK, and Japan are the 3 biggest markets for gaming is because there is always data tracking those territories. I never hear anything about charts for france, spain, italy czech republic or the other countries in Europe which tells me their numbers are probably to small to count individually.
