Unreal Development Kit Exceeds 50,000 Downloads

Epic Games, Inc. has announced that the Unreal Development Kit (UDK), a free software release that provides uncompromised access to the award-winning Unreal Engine 3 toolset, has exceeded 50,000 users worldwide since its launch on November 5th, 2009. This rapid adoption of Unreal Engine 3 technology extends to approximately 130 countries and 4,500 cities across the globe.

Now you've gone and given me a real reason to buy a real PC(upgrading would leave me only utilizing the outer casing)! I guess I have a couple of thousand dollars I don't know what to do with, and painting the old mobile can wait!

Sony should unlock the RSX for Linux and sponsor a Linux version of this. Indie games galore!
