The wii just keeps selling. Good numbers for the ps3 and even the 360 did better than I thought.

Software wise...5 out of 10 are 360 games with 2 being exclusives. 2 of the 10 are ps3 with 1 being exclusive. Nice to see that 1 exclusive outsell the 2 combined.

Looks like ps3 has finally found its "system seller".

edit: I added them all up and it still amazes me that nintendo can outsell all of sony and MS with just two products combined. Nintendo total sales for both are a combined 964k where as the total of the rest (sony+ms) is 863k. Nintendo is 100k ahead and didnt really have any big titles out. WTF?

Very good numbers. PS3 ahead of the 360 by nearly 100k and UC2 did amazingly. Great job Sony. The 360 is now in THIRD.

Surprised Forza 3 sold so little, especially with the good reviews and the amount of marketing and buzz they tried to put behind it. They've released footage on nearly a daily basis since E3, and I saw many commercials for it. Even saw back-to-back Forza 3 commercials that spanned the whole break while watching something on FX.

I would have expected Uncharted 2 sales to be higher just based on the high number of PS3's sold. If most of those consoles were sold by UC2's release, that means only 200-250K copies were sold to existing PS3 users, which doesn't seem right. Now add this total to the the numbers from Japan where the PS3 has been outselling the 360 by 25K to 35K every week. That's at least another 100K in a month. the 360 may take the UK but everywhere else...including most of Europe...they are getting buried.

I am still laughing at vgchartz only putting the PS3 50K ahead of the 360. I knew they were good for a laugh. And they missed the Wii numbers by 140K. How is that for misplacing a decimal.

What's interesting to me about this is that I guess the Amazon.com numbers can't be used to give a good indication for what NPD will be. Because I habitually check the top 100 Amazon sales each day, and I noticed that Ratchet & Clank A Crack in Time has been above Forza Motorsport 3 every single hour since it came out. Forza 3 charted, R&C did not. So even though Amazon.com sold more R&C than Forza 3, it doesn't hold for NPD-tracked retail in general. Interesting. That proves there's discrepency. Although I guess it doesn't matter any more, because lately there haven't been many Amazon sales submissions like there were back in September.

It's only been 2 months since the PS3's $100 price drop and it's barely outselling the 360. The 360 outsold the PS3 for 13 months straight after its $100 price drop in 2008.

Nintendo dominated hardware sales with the unbeatable Wii and DS.
Microsoft dominated software sales with 5 games in the Top 10, versus 3 for Nintendo and 2 for Sony.

Forza 3 sold 175,000 which equals 35,000 per DAY (released 10/27).

Uncharted 2 sold 537,000 which equals 28200 per DAY (released 10/13).

For even more perspective, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (released April 17, 2008) sold 224,000 in it's first 14 days according to NPD. That equals 16,000 per day.

PS3 hardware sales are looking strong but wait. What's this, weak software sales still. Looks like Sony is selling a lot of Blu-Ray players. Although UC2 killed in sales...FOR A PS3 GAME! Good thing you've got third party games to play, oh wait that's right most of them don't run properly on PS3. Well at least you have your pretty graphics to look at. Remember little one great gameplay trumps great graphics. UC2=Great graphics+above average gameplay. Not good enough for Halo,Gears or Wii Sports numbers. You still have GT5. You should all have ample opportunity to gloat then. Right now all you've got is premature ejaculation.
