ABC bites back over Good Game sacking

The ABC has denied sacking the host of a video gaming TV show over his gender, instead putting the dismissal down to performance issues.

ABC1 Good Game's founding host Jeremy Ray has been fired and last night an official statement was released on the TV show's online message board. The statement did not state any clear reasons for Ray's departure, only saying "it leaves many questions unanswered, but we have reached that point where we really can't say any more than that".

But on the Good Game forums last night, Ray - who is being replaced by newcomer Stephanie Bendixsen - unleashed on the ABC, dropping what he called a "truth bomb".
