Final Fantasy Versus XIII to feature day and night lighting

With Final Fantasy XIII nearing completion, Nomura said that his efforts have turned to mainly Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Agito XIII. According to Nomura, the Final Fantasy VII and Versus XIII teams are nearly the same, with the team making no compromises to increase the overall quality of the game. Currently, the Versus XIII team is testing the battle system and town lighting for day and night cycles.

"It felt as though the town really existed in front of me," said Nomura.

What wonder what Nomura means by that? :)
I wasn't aware that the Final Fantasy VII team working on this game. Masterpiece confirmed.
This scene from Final Fantasy VII send chills down my spine. And yes I know this from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

Hmm, I do wonder about the FFVII and Versus XIII teams being nearly the same considering Kitase's not on the Versus team and he was pretty damn important for FFVII. I think he may have meant in the attitude towards development.

Anyway, it'd be great if they could release them earlier because people are getting sick of waiting.
