ok, so it did well enough.
Pity, it was released on two of the world's best selling consoles and it still failed to do amazingly well.
oh well, still have it on the ps2, one of my fav games on the console!

The only confusion is why the world managed to let this wonderful game down twice. Truly a classic that just doesn't seem to have the appeal of Mario and sonic(a fat plumber and a fekkin blue hedgenog) at the Olympics!
Gah, people have no idea. Really they don't. Everyone I know that played Okami from my six year old to my goddam mum loved it to bits. Come my revolution it's going to be compulsory along with SoTC in all schools.
In detention you'll play Haze and Too Human and the tubby kids can play Fifa instead of having PE.

I feel guilty that I haven't played the game. I'll be getting it when I get a PS2 sometime. The recent price drop made me finally decide to grab one. There's too many games I've been missing out on.

i rented okami on the wii when it first came out but i really didn't like the motion controls at all. Now that the ps2 is $100 though i plan on getting it cause i really liked the gameplay style and the story but the motion controls just frustrated me to no end.
It is a shame though that the game didn't sell extremely well on either console.

9 - Well if your a real gamer you shouldnt care about sales
Sales are for the huge fanboys that don't actually own any consoles. They just like to think they do. So all day there on n4g creaming themselves if one console outsold another. Its quite sad if you ask me.

If you're going to get this game get it on Wii. By far the superior version. Controls make the game so much more enjoyable and faster paced.Controls so easy you have to have some sort of physical impairment not to be able to do them really. My 7 year old nephew was able to master the controls in no time.

some people prefer controllers
according to your logic every system nintendo released before the wii must suck the big one since it didn't have motion control.
plus, why do some wii games support the classic controller?

1.2 - Yeah, personally I just don't like the Wii-mote.
That's just a personal preference. I remember when I first bought my Wii my wife asked skeptically "You aren't going to have to point this stupid thing at the screen the entire time, are you?"
Sadly, I didn't realize the answer would be yes or else I would have never purchased one. Thankfully I was able to unload it on a co-worker just before Christmas.
I like what Nintendo did, I like that they're trying new things, it just didn't work for me. If I had a choice I'd play this on the PS2. Nothing against people that don't mind the Wii-mote. More power to ya.

exactly, but some people think that not enjoying motion controls means your a xbox/sony fanboy or a nazi.
I've been using controllers since i first started playing videogames on the freaking Intellivision. Excuse me if motion controls aren't my favorite thing in the world. I enjoy them for some games, but other games i dont care for them. Especially since im left handed, using the control stick on the nunchuck feels awkward as hell cause ive been using my left thumb since forever to control my character not my right thumb, and i cant use my left thumb on the nunchuk cause i cant aim for crap with my right arm.
Nintendo fanboys will claim that being left handed isn't a factor.
wrong
Look at twilight princess, link was always left handed until the wii came out. Twilight Princess on the wii is a mirrored version of the gamecube game. That's because they made link right handed because most people are right handed.
