You should try Monster Hunter... the learning curve (difficulty) at first is very steep... but that's just how it is. When you get to G-rank or the transition from low rank to high rank quest... they're completely on different levels.

Even with the strongest armors.... G-rank monsters are deadly, if you're not careful.

4 - come on...
it's selling like crazy but MH games on PSP are far from the best on it! there are a lot more with GTA LCS & VCS, GoW CoC, R&C SM, Daxter and a lot more I can't name them all! maybe MH is just not my cup of tea!

I agree it's an amazing game, would be even better if it had online so I wouldn't have to use Ad-Hoc party or Kai to play with other people.

7 - If that is true then...
....where is the online MP?

They only have local MP available and how lame is that?

Like they can't set up a low traffic server to handle connections so people can pair up?

C'mon guys....get with 2009.

The Japanese version uses Ad Hoc Party for online and considering Capcom's alternative to that (subscription online for its upcoming Wii games), then I welcome having to use tunneling programs.

US and Europe doesnt have Capcom servers. They only have servers in Japan for infrastructure. It sucks... but it's understandable since it's like a religion there. The game is not that big a hit in the US or Europe.

Only a small portion of people know and love the game compared to Japan.

For online, i've used xlink Kai (freeware) with PSP wifimax. Go to xlink kai forums to figure out how to connect. If you have vista, then press F8 upon booting your OS to turn off the driver signing. You have to do it everytime.

These games are great! I've put more hours on Monster Hunter PSP games (MHF, MHF2, and MHP2G) than any other PSP game I own. (500+, I think.) The learning curve is a bit steep, but play it for more than a few hours, and you'll start getting into it. But, I can understand that it's not for everyone.

Still, can't wait for Monster Hunter Unite! =D
