Gibson Loses Guitar Hero Lawsuit

A California court has thrown out a lawsuit filed by legendary guitar maker Gibson against Activision for allegedly violating a patent with their Guitar Hero games.

I really don't know what Gibson was up to here. Sounds like their idea barely approaches the concept of GH.

I love Gibson for making such wonderful guitars, but their logic for the lawsuit was simple. GH franchise is on the rise and generates a lot of money. Why not find a stupid reason (clicky sound, wtf?) and sue Activision? A lot of money for Gibson - Activision will still get their income from GH:WT, because it doesn't use Gibson guitar model.
