Namco Bandai to publish Magna Carta: Crimson Stigma

VG247: Korean developer Softmax has told videogaming247 that the recently announced Xbox 360 exclusive RPG Magna Carta: Crimson Stigma will be published by Namco Bandai.

Hope its good!
The first Manga Carta started with very good ideas but failed to keep me playing it! The Korean style characters where very strange! Lets hope this game surpasses and excels its predecessor!

very gay if you ask me. at first I thought that the protagonist was a girl and it turned out that it was a man. the art style is even gayer than FF. lol

the sequel could be good but the first, mmmmmmm, it was a pretty crappy game. http://www.gamestats.com/ob... even the newer Wild Arms games were better.

that is so true

the other day a sackboy in n4g was claiming how the playstation 3 had the best rpg and that the rpgs in the 360 were tanking. but eventhough the only decent rpg in the playstation 3 was valkyrie it only sold about 50,000.

lol

so i really do not understand this new excuse and/or argument of the sackboys that the rpg's are being wasted in the 360. it is, as most of their whining, mystifying.

Tears of blood is included on my list of "worst games ever played/bought"
the battle system was retarted and booring, the artistic direction was well differend, Graphics where ok, gameplay was booring and bland and story took ages to start, this combined with worst voice acting in the history of gaming (I am not kidding) and with horrible travelling between cities...

If the Upcomming sequel is anything like the original (except for graphics and art) the game wont be good.

I really recommend focusing on upcoming star ocean 4 and Final fantasy instead of this..

8 - Xbox 360 is the ultimate RPG machine of all time now, 3 new exclusive RPG's were announced recently

The number of RPG's and epic huge titles 360 gets is unbelivable, it is by miles the best next gen system for RPG's already, but in 2009 gets 10x bigger in that genre

The best console for rpgs was and will always be the PSX/PS1, unless they manage to top Xenogears, FF7-9, Vagrant Story, Valkyrie Profile, Grandia and I'm not even going to bother to list others since you wouldn't even know what I am talking about.

What the 360 needs is a game from defunct Sacnoth/Nautilus which noow forms part of Mistwalker...MGS which made the great Shadow Hearts series.

How are you going to put Disgea3 when they almost scored the same in all the reviews? Both Tales and Disgea scored around 8 to 8.5.
same thing for folklore. plus disgea did not sell..so did not folklore. that leaves only White knight story and we havent seen any reviews yet exect the one from famitsu that gave the game 29/40.

urgg why Bandai ? Even Ubisoft dont want the sequel of that awful game .....

And i know people will disagree , but the only good j-rpg platforms so far in 2008 was the ps2 and the portable ds/psp couple .
The only noteworthy next gen j-rpgs have been so far Vesperia , Symphonia 2 , Valkyria chronicles and apparently White knight chronicle . I could count disgaea 3 too but it feels more like a ps2 game ported on ps3

In my opinion, Namco Bandai is currently doing a much better job of rpg development/publishing than Square-Enix. They may be doing fewer RPG's than S-E, but they are of a higher quality.

Tales of Vesperia for example is a game that I personally believe single-handedly made the 360 a viable purchase in Japan, pushing console sales for MS more than other games out in JP.

I don't know much about Magna Carta, but I do know that Namco Bandai has their head on straight and will not disappoint fans.

I dont see how Bandai's involvement here means anything ... it is just what it is , them publishing a game for money . They know that despite the first title's horrible quality , it attracted a bit of attention with it's design , and still sold decently in Asia

However i agree that Bandai's own rpg input has been great lately , with obviously the tales games , but also on PS2 the .hack G.U games from cyberconnect2

13 - Actually Lost odyssey, Tales, Last Remnant, Fable 2, Mass Effect are some of the best RPGs i have ever played in my whole gameing life
Now, some may not like them, especially some people that have nevber played them, for obvious reasons, but that won't make them any less for me, that is for sure

Not only 360 has got hands down the best RPG's this generation for me, and some of the best ever created, but is the only system that has RPG's actually, given PS3 only gets Strategy RPG's so far

As for White Knight, that game looks generic and like a MMO to me, would never even rent such a game, i do not buy so low quality for me titles, like i did not buy Spectral Force of Operation Darkness
