Eventually, publishers/developors will start to acknowledge the general demographic of those who buy the Wii. Let's just say that they are not the type to play COD.

Here's a shocker. Despite how naysayers try to spin it, the main focus of the Wii is casual gamers and people don't generally associate mature games like Call of Duty with the Nintendo brand. The Wii version most likely isn't bad at all and Ubi made it as such, but since that mature association doesn't click in the minds of many Wii gamers it won't sell as well.

I find it strange that those "older guys" who have a Wii would even bother buying the Wii version. I assume that they would put their dollars onto older franchises like Zelda or Mario in which they probably used to play with on the older Nintendo consoles.

The multi-player is where the COD games are best at anyway.

I don't know why people are so hooked up on graphics, anyways. It really shows the immaturity of today's gamers. I'd rather play Super Mario Bros 3 or Ocarina of Time than Halo 3 any day. I'd rather play Super Mario Bros 3 than New Super Mario Bros. It's the gameplay that counts.

It's a sad thing when people say they'd prefer playing a game with very good visuals and okay controls than a game with okay visuals and very good controls.

I call anyone to put a few hours into Geometry Wars: Galaxies with the wiimote and Geometry Wars on the Xbox. Yes, the 360's version is prettier, but controlling that little ship with the wiimote is a dream. I sometimes forget I'm even using a controller, and then my mind goes all wonky when I try to think of what button is bomb (either Z or C, haha). That's how great it is.

Motion control can be included tastefully, and when it is, it works amazing.

I'm sure the Wii version of the game could be good.

After the consistent "COD: WaW" bashing with "oh it's just another stupid WWII shooter." I was pleasantly surprised that after playing the game, it's a lot of fun that is quite different than COD4. Sure it there is probably like 75% things that is similar to COD4, but I think it was more of Activision's choice on that.

The Zombie mode is very original and fun. The multiplayer is more challenging due to the varied levels, the addition of tanks, and the different weapons. It requires me to be more accurate and cautious than COD4.

That being said, online multiplayer for the COD games is like 75% of the point of the game. The single player is there for some quick entertainment, but for lasting appeal and just straight up addictive gameplay the online multiplayer is where it's at.

And the Wii, just doesn't have that. Which is why I don't see why you guys keep saying it will have long legs?

For the common gamer yes, but if we are talking about "casual" people, most of them don't even know how to use online play to the max.
So i really don't think that is affecting sales in any way(i'm talking "casual" gamers).
(btw Wii version has some online too right?)

Your reason for not getting this version is not the reason for others.
Lot's of Wii-games are selling slow, but they are selling.
Lot's of developers are happy with it, so that's it's having "long legs"

The Wii version is great. But unfortunately the store I wwork at and the one my friend works at doesn't get `many copies of the Wii version. Last shipment was 28 xbox360 copies 25 ps3 and 3 wii copies. And everytime the wii version gets sold out. Maybe if it was available more often then it would have sold even more.

Obviously the ratings go down just because it's not visually pared to the other 2.
But let's say god Father was better on the Wii than the other two.

So saying "core" gamers don't want the worst version just because it's on the Wii makes no sense.
I'm " hardcore " and if the Wii-mote works very well I will not consider the game "worse".

Also i have CoD4, i only went online once...
I guess by that logic I'm not hardcore anymore....o well.

graphics can improve gameplay and it's proven

graphics can elevate the GAMEPLAY to new hights,not posiible to do on lower tech even if the same team was involved

Let's say Gears had bad gameplay, you wouldn;t be giving a sh/t about visuals.
Meaning that "gfx" are not "the" factor that makes a game good or bad.

I said gfx are important but not that important to call a game BAD or GOOD.
That's what you don't get.
What you are referring to is Art-design.
And looking at Metroid prime Wii can still do a pretty good job.

Forget that Wii sold more 3rd aprty games than 360, forget that NMH is Sudas best selling game. DOnt count Rock band sales. Hell just skip over the fact that half of the million sellers on Wii are 3rd party and just focus on this one game to prove everything else wrong...

Call of Duty barely sells on PS3 either. Any large game like CoD 4 never sells on PS3. Only 600,000 copies of CoD 4 were sold on PS3, while 10 million units where sold on 360. Activision acts lazy with its Wii games. They need to advertise more and make the graphics much better. Treyarch's Wii games look like a Nintendo 64 game with large amounts of crap covering them. Eternal Darkness was released in 2003 and looked 6 times better.

What's stoping them from putting in some more online modes? Why can't the Wii do Headquarters, Search and Destroy, or Team Tactical? Exactly. And you saying the Wii is too weak is a contradiction, because THEY PUT THE CALL OF DUTY 4 ENGINE ON THE WII in the first place. There was nothing stopping them. It could've had vehicles.

Therefor, like I said, they were just lazy about it.
