Meh, I haven't even updated my 360 to the NXE and I doubt I will anytime soon.

So...almost exactly the same thing as Nintendo have done then?

Nintendo never did that, they never do anything like that. Stop spreading lies and misinforming other N4G users.

They did something similar. You could take your Mii anywhere, as long as you took your Wiimote with you.

Not the same, but similar.

On topic. Is this -really- that useful? I mean, why on earth would your friends or family want to have access to your avatar?

I can understand showing pictures of them, but can't you already do that?

Nintendo allows you to transfer your Miis anywhere, its just done via the controller and not the internet.

How on earth can people disagree with me? Its the EXACT same concept but with added features.

Ive done it myself - transferred my Mii to play with my friends and family in other places. Thats exactly what Microsoft have just said they've done.

You've totally got the wrong end of the stick here. Did you even read the article?

Yes Mii's can be transferred on Wii Remotes, just as XboxLIVE! Gamertags - and now avatars - have been able to on Xbox360 Memory Units since launch. My Gamertag has permanently been on a Memory Unit 'cause I regularly play on Xbox360s in three or four locations. This is not was this story is about.

This story is basically a new feature on xbox.com that allows you to make christmas cards with yours and your friends avatars, and create images to export to MySpace, Facebook et al in order to win prizes. It's pretty basic, and pretty lame if you ask me...

i guess kids will enjoy this more than the 'hardcore gamer' which is the whole point of this crap anyway, to try and attract more casual players and make it a more 'family friendly' console. personally i don't c the point. no1 will catch nintendo for the casual audience now so might as well stick what they are gd at. Its the same with home. most people buying a 360/ps3 buy it for the 'hardcore' games not these silly little gimmicks

Then stop crying and don't look at them elsewhere.
If anyone feels it is a gimmick then leave it. Not hard

i would if i had the option to " leave it " but according to MS if i do that i am using a loop hole which they are going to close, so i will have to use it on the 360 at least.

and why should i not moan about that !

Microsoft has lost its way. What else do you expect from the company that released the first xbox without a fan?

I can't wait to have my avatar over at my friend's house so they can watch it do nothing as well.

7 - heres an idea M$
People who want a family portrait will get one of these modern contraptions called a 'digital camera', or maybe go to this magical place called a 'photography studio' and get this done. Looks much better as the people are real....

The statue idea is kinda cool (and this coming from an absolute M$ hater) but the rest sounds completely pointless... come to think of it, even the statue is kinda pointless...
