Pachter's Assassin's Creed 2 comments just "rumour", says Ubi

Ubisoft has moved swiftly to quell comments made by Wedbush Morgan analyst, Michael Pachter, that said Assassin's Creed 2 will be set in 1700s.

"This is only a rumor and we would prefer not to comment on rumors," said the rep.

The game has now been confirmed by Ubisoft, but details and a date have yet to be aired.

1 - ive actually
been playing AC these past couple of days ... as a matter of fact i had finished it today around 6:00 am EST.. and i have to say now that i played it the 2nd time Around. i understand the ending a little more... not fully but for themost part i think i get it.. there are just somethings i dont quite understand.. like the writings on the wall, what happen to altair after he saw the peace of eden... there are just many questions left open.. to be honest i think its the perfect setup for a part 2... but probably modern day with desmond.

I hope it is because

1. Altair wouldn't be the main character if it took place 600 years after the first one.

2. French revolution is lame

3. I like the arabic/knight setting of the first 1.

4. French revolution would have guns and stuff...

to be fair, the rubbish guns of the french revolution probably would be even worse than the rocks the people throw at you in AC1. Incredably unaccurate, and hardly extremely commonplace, they were still a huge luxury.

3 - needs improvement
I just hope that they're taking their time to make a better sequel. I was disappointed with how the quests were so repetitive. Could of been game of the year last year but fell sort in versatility. =/
