Based on ongoing discussions with our retail partners and the feedback they have received from their customers, SCEA has seen significant interest in the Ratchet & Clank Size Matters PSP Entertainment Pack in North America, which includes the updated PSP-3000. As a result, we will be streamlining our PSP hardware lineup and will no longer be offering the previously announced 4GB Memory PSP Entertainment Pack.

So I guess this puts an end to the rumor about Sony recalling all the PSP-3000 models.

I like this pack, very similiar to the Daxter pack I got with my PSP-2000. It gives you enough starter storage space, one of the best PSP games, and a pretty good UMD movie to enjoy.

This was the better pack. It saved you a lot of money. Had the best value. Sucks that they're not going to release it.

4 - I think they've got it wrong
I think the reason the R & C Entertainment pack is selling so much better than the 4Gb pack is not necessarily because it is such a great deal and people are particularly interested in it but because comparatively it is a better deal than the 4Gb pack. People going out to buy a PSP are going to look at both and decide which is going to give them the best value for money and the R & C pack is clearly that.

In other words, I think instead of stopping the 4gb pack they should just make it a better value proposition and increase the bundled card. Make it an 8Gb pack! This would attract more people to the PSP because people who aren't interested in the R&C game now have a good alternative.

i bet they will still release a bare-bones pack. And you have to know that there will be another bundle before too long. Im hoping for a resistance retribution bundle.
