Microsoft: We still own Age of Empires

Eurogamer: "Microsoft may have announced plans yesterday to shut down Ensemble Studios when Halo Wars ships, but Age of Empires fans are told not to worry!

"I want to reassure you that Microsoft will still own the Age of Empires intellectual property," Games for Windows boss Kevin Unangst wrote on Gamerscoreblog overnight. So that's alright then. "As a company, we're very excited about the future potential for Age of Empires, and as a PC gamer I'm looking forward to what that future holds. Stay tuned," he concluded."

If you mean more RTS games, then yeah, that would make sense. That's like saying..

An new Age of empires would be an sweet addition to 360/PC owners but I hardly think that It would be a console seller...

It's like Sony would say: "Well we still have Killer instinct"

Or Nintendo says: "Well we still have pokemon"

Great news, because buying an AoE game from a developer other than Ensemble is just what I've always wanted to do!

Microsoft may buy you drinks, but the chances are they've spiked them, so you have to be careful.

I must say, you, umm, shall I call you, (enthusiasts), are a tad paranoid sometimes. Try and just sit back to enjoy these things I like to call, video games. And put aside those little voices telling you that this company, or that company is out to get you and rule the world. The world is not black or white, it is rather grey.

They are available on a variety of platforms, come in all shapes and sizes and are designed with one purpose, to burn time.

Keep an eye on that drink, and keep that tinfoil hat nice and tight.

I have to say Command and Conquer made a massive comeback with Tiberium Wars and as usual Red Alert 3 will be awsome.
