yea, scores are all over the map. I have played it for 6 hours now and so far would pin it at a 7ish..repetitive.

I think Too Human would make a better PC game, if it allowed mods and such. It's just too much of a niche game right now and sadly, it's not my niche. :(

Think about it. Sony said they would keep the PS3 and PSP in a ten yr cycle, but they didnt say they wouldnt release a new console in that time span. The PS1 lasted ten yrs before it was retired but the PS2 came out in Yr 5 of the PS1 timeline and the PS2 is almost 10 years old as well and the PS3 came out in PS2s 5th year as well.

I hope that sony's next attempt has better software support for developers. Sony needs to dive head first into their own machine and setup a nice set of developing tools for 1st and 3rd parties. I'm sure they are already focusing on this, so maybe I'll pickup the ps4!! :P

I know Microsoft said they wanted to be the first one out of the gate with new systems. I don't think these will last 10 years, but I don't think we have anything to worry about for at least a few more...

I am thinking that this may be to soon for some consoles but ready for others. To early to see though. I would like to see consoles actually be used to the fullest before cranking out another one for us to buy.

7.1 - this is why supporting the ps2 is paying off

they can offset the loss on each ps3 with the money they are making on the ps2. besides with all the aaa games they have coming that they can bundle for 4 to 500$ they will fly off the shelves but i can see them bringing another price drop once the ps2 stops selling. an 80 gig ps3 for 300 anyone would be a fool for not buying it even if its just for the blueray plus the line up of games should be huge by then

They're definitely going to have to put it on another platform to get some more sales,they can't put it on Ps3 nor Wii so the PC is going to be the next place the game appears on.

3 - Not so Fast Naysayers

Of course they could come out in 2011-1013. Come on people, just because a console may have a 10 year life cycle doesn't mean it will be the main focus of a company or for development. Look at the PS2, it's been out for 9 of its 10 years life cycle but it's no longer the MAIN focus of Sony. Seeing how consoles take a very long time to develop, I wouldn't be surprised if it was still a ways off, but just not as far off as we probably all think.

I think ms will jump out first again but this time it will compete with the ps3 for along while because i really dont think sony needs a new console yet. Not even 2 years here in the US for sony that would be 4 by 2010 xmas time.
