no EA or MS would just want to make money no matter wat, if EA bought take 2 than there no more comp as said in the link for any sports game, so people would have to buy EA's games since there's no other football or baseball game to buy except there's. EA games would be exclusive to teh EA console,hence all of the trite that they usually deliver will dissapear from the sshelves where the good games are kept.

1. EA makes console with exclusive EA titles

I remember Madden titles getting damn near perfect scores year after year until the NFL license was exclusively purchased by EA. The next Madden titles after ended up getting progressively worse.

EA just pushes the developers to release a game at a said date, so you can expect the next GTA game to be released even if it has some bugs because EA says so, then they'll put out a few patches a few months later after they've raked in the cash.

This now means that 3 of my favourite companies have been taken by EA:

Take Two

It's true, not that big of a blow in my eyes. I thought the last GTA was starting a downhill turn anyway. San Andreas was so much fun, and this one wasn't worth the wait. This will be a blow to the industry if they keep this up however. If they buy Atlus or Squeenix, I'm out of gaming for good. :(
