1 - believe me.....
its pretty much the most expensive place in the world for anything lol.

fuel would be the cheapest in europe here if the government was to rebate some of the ridiculous amount of tax they plough of us so they can buy there precious second homes whilst the rest of us struggle just to keep going.

in all honesty things are getting ridiculous over here. x

A single journey on the London Underground costs £4 (about $8), but it is supposed to be the best in the world, when they're not striking over something.

Come to think of it, we're pretty overdue a strike aren't we?

In the last postal strike I was waiting for global defence force to be delivered (look it up if you havn't heard of it).

That was a horrible few weeks and I expect riksweeney has gone and jinxed it again.

Yeah I know what you mean.

Being English I don't like being grouped with the welsh scots or irish, (don't mind the isle of man so much)

Bit of a sloppy title even though I can't think of a better word to use than country. That said I didn't make the article.

I agree, cost of living is really high. Dont even get me started on house prices! I live in Edinburgh where a friend has just bought a 2 bedroom flat for £235,000! Its mad. Although we get a really good exchange rate with the USD, the Euro is becoming stronger and stronger.

Who would've thought the euro would work.
I don't like it getting stronger as I'm in Amsterdam next week.

Need my beer money.

6 - The government should move out of the people's way
And let free-markets determine what people want. I don't expect a bunch of crabby old men to get much right with that much power.

Hopefully things will start looking up for you guys. Things aren't so great here in the States either. It seems like everything only gets more expensive, so it's hard to be optimistic in that regard.
