And the number one thing you could do with an incredibly priced HD-DVD player is use it for HD-DVD movies and also upscale all of your classic favorite DVD's(Its ONLY ORIGINAL intended OPTIONAL purpose, not FORCED upon you when you buy the gaming console)

it's not "incredibly priced". it's a fire sale to dump junk. and this happens with all obsolete stuff. you need to get past this cause HD-DVD is dead.

edit: my favorite was #17 riot tool-it breaks windows like a brick but easier on your throwing arm.

Are you serious? That is pretty sad..in that some people are still trying to convince others that hd-dvd is great and well alive.

Still remember how bladestar and pog used to support this format fanatically; now they have all disappeared.

I love my HD DVD player and its not going anywhere. I use it to watch Netflix movies beautifully upscaled to 1080P on my 60 Inch Sony TV. I'm not constantly swapping out game disks to watch movies, since it's a separate drive. One drive for games and one for movies. Sharing one drive sucks. Not to mention that it works great with my Harmony universal remote; no using some stupid game controller to try to control a movie. I've had about 6 or 7 DVD players over the years - most of them high end - and this is my favorite.

Yeah, using that blu-ray remote is pretty sweet for watching movies on my PS3. I agree completely, that whole, "controller for movies" thing is just so stupid.

Having 2 drives is nothing more than a quick ego booster. Yeah you can put a movie in one and a game in the other, but eventually you'll be changing them both out at some point or another so it's not really an advantage.

If you want advantage, how about 2 PS3 controllers & 1 person. While one controller charges, I play with the other, when it dies, plug it in and use the other controller. Then I never have to play plugged in with a USB cord. -- Now that's an advantage.

........HD DVD , What a FLOP !! Imagine what would have happened if the XBOX ran games on HDDVD internally and then this would have happened. Thank god it was just an external add-on.
