Be aware, that they're not lying if it releases on the 30th of November... they've not set a fixed date for a reason, it's just so they can say, "well we said fall it's not been delayed, look"

Although this, as the article stated, should be a full service like gmail was, I think it would be reasonable to expect teething problems.

Is there a defined process by which we can report bugs and suggestions back to Sony?

The really great thing about beta is that the product it isn't 100% locked or set yet so we can still have a potentially big impact on what the final product will be like.

Don't forget, FALL means they'd be able to release it on 11:59 p.m. on December 20th and still make it in time before winter.

I'll believe the release of Home when I'm launching it from my PS3.

I have personal hands-on time with the Home beta. My impressions of the last build I experience were not great, the potential is there and it is huge but it's far from finished.

I imagine there will be a steady stream of updates to be beta leading up to its "open" release, adding more content, fixing persistent issues etc.

I never really thought Home would be my "bag", but after messing around and "seeing" the potential the service offers I'm hyped for it's eventual release.

But, people must remember, bugs will be evident, but will be fixed in time.

I'm waiting atleast 3 days AFTER it goes up for grabs before DLing it.I'll let the server traffic die down, wait for any reported issues and if it goes off without a hitch(fingers crossed) I will glady hit the update prompt.

after finally getting fw 2.4; i was surprised by all the people going out of there way to say what a failure it was(after being out less than a day?)so i expect the same b*llsh#t from the same people when home comes out.
i don't expect home to be perfected when it's first available; but i'm excited to see what sony and game devs will do with this in the year following release. it isn't just getting home that's exciting, but the growth potential that it has as well. for those of you who have zero patience(and must suffer from A.D.D.)you surely won't be happy. for those who just have too much time on your hands and look for something to b@tch about......i'm sure you won't be happy as well. and especially for those 360 fanboys:they are already just waiting for home to release to start with the bogus complaints.
sure, home will have growing pains, but it's an exciting propisition which won't cost anyone anything to try out and enjoy.
sure, home has been delayed, (and i think sony shouldn't have been saying it would be out at certain times if they weren't sure about it) but i see this as a no-lose situation. home will be free and offer something new and unique when it does release. i think people need to try it out and give it a fair chance.(not complaing after 15-20 hrs of its release or even after a couple weeks).
but, judging from some of the comments in the different threads about home; there just won't be making some people happy no matter what sony does. and those are the people who should just stay away.

home will end up being like a 3d marketplace, to me it already reminds of one of the sims games except you can communicate with others online,
of course im not here to brag or anything as i think home will be special to experience only when all the ideas and fundamentals are in place,
oh yeah and the crow of people which by the way will surpass the amount of people making the beta crash at times, can work out smoothly.

anyways while i like the home idea and concept on paper, i to be honest don't really care all that much anymore of course this doesn't mean i wont download it or try it when it comes out either, it just simply means im not as crazy as i use to be for it.

personally i feel sony did a good thing by releasing fw 2.40 and giving us a taste of basic xbox live features. but in all honesty i just wish sony would try to put more effort in getting all the fundamentals of a great online service down first before releasing home and making people having to boot games through home.

as of now what i want? i simply want to know when 2.40 will re- release again to the public, and when will the more significant games such as uncharted among a few others will get patched. this will also include MGS4, and i don't care whether or not its a 3rd party or what, i think every game should be patched sometime down the road, an all exclusives whether 1st or 3rd parties must all get patched via (OBLIGATION).

its the only way to get this thing kick off the ground and into the masses. yeah sure resistance wont get any trophy support now, but should sometime after resistance 2 lands or they need to have a separate team working on trophies this way they wont ever need to worry about spending time or resources same for the COD4 devs, Danm it. i mean it doesn't make any sense since these games are among the most played games, sony needs to force it down their throats even if it means offering them a little extra cash or man power.

anyways back to the topic at hand. in my opinion sony needs to just find ways to fix the current problem at hand, and look toward to improving the service with more key features such as (IN-GAME VOICE/VIDEO CHAT COMMUNICATIONS). give me the fundamentals, give me the voice/video mail, voice/video cross chat, massage to all, (trophy sound- uncharted reward pop up sound would be great thank you), mail sound, sign in sound, Flash support and more speed for the browser.

that above is what i want most, give me those fundamentals first, than worry about home, life with playstation or even that video store later. but sony needs to just fix the current issues with fw 2.40 and work on the above FIRST!!!. THAT!!! above is what should really matter to them nothing else. anyways sorry if i sound angry or ticked off, but thats just my personal opinion thats all guys again im sorry if i offended anyone one here today i just hope you all understand how i feel.

man i wish i had the guy responsible for the updates email or phone number i would really open his eyes. lol
