GameTap Hands Back Myst Online

Next-Gen.Biz writes: "After the demise of Myst Online on digital distribution network GameTap, Myst creator Cyan Worlds has recaptured the rights to the game, GameTap has confirmed to Next-Gen.

The embattled game Myst Online: Uru Live has a shaky history. Most recently, Turner-owned GameTap announced in February that it would drop the game after a year due to "business reasons." Prior to that, Ubisoft canned the game while in beta.

But Myst Online refuses to die. GameTap boss Rick Sanchez confirmed a report in The Spokesman-Review's tech blog that said his company has given the rights for Myst Online back to creator Cyan Worlds, free of charge."
