PSU: In-game XMB, trophies, in-game soundtrack coming in June

PSU Writes:

"The SDK 2.40 will be available to dev. late in June. The actual Firmware 2.40 might see the light of day a lot sooner..."

Also with the addition of improved Audio/Video communication, it's safe to say Sony is finally providing it's users with a better online community, nearing the quality of Microsoft's Xbox Live.

Rumors can be true or false, until proven true or proven false, they're still valid rumors. Insider or not, unless someone can come up with enough evidence to prove it one way than both ways are valid.

June starts in 2 days. Metal Gear is in 2 weeks. Somewhere in there is going to be a pretty sweet firmware update.

Although come to think of it, even if it is after MGS4's launch, will anyone care? I don't know about you guys but I'll be too busy playing MGS to worry about stopping the game to access the XMB :P

But yeah, great news!

I cant wait for this. This is the type of Rumor that i like to see when i sign on. I LOVE achievement points on my 360 amd cant wait to get to work on these PS3 trophies. I dont know how they will be set up. But i wanna dive Fist first into gettin as many as these trophies as possible.

Trust me it will add GREAT replay value to your games. If MGS4 has trophies or anything. Dream has officially come true.

Sony will have in-game messaging across all games. Custom Soundtracks and trophies will have to be patched up in order to work. Custom Soundtracks no longer cost the developers any memory on there part and neither will in-game messaging. From now on every game on PS3 is forced to use custom soundtracks.
