The Protector is a new first/third person shooter staring a hardened British mercenary.

Newly formed Polish developer Gingerbread Studios has today announced The Protector, an all-new PC and Xbox 360 first/third person shooter said to feature visceral action, tactical stealth and an enthralling storyline.

wasnt "The Protecter" the new name for Eight Days according to the rumours? and there was another rumour this game was showing behind the scene to selected audience for PS3!?!?!

I guess all those rumours are smashed for good!!!

eight days is developed by Sony London so I think Kaz would be a bit shocked to find a Sony Studio developing exclusives games for the xbox.

5 - Everyone needs to stop whinning about "too many FPS's"
If people keep buying them, developers will keep making them. Mind you, that the game is coming to PC AND 360. Nobody says the PC has too many FPSs. It has been established that the Xbox has quite a few as well. I never mind a GOOD FPS; if it actually is worth picking up it shouldn't matter if its another egg in a dozen. I think the argument is a vague and silly fanboy insult that needs to stop.

Pc farcry = excellent

console farcry = terrible

farcry 2 is made by the people that made the console version of fc1. im no going to get my hopes up about it.

While I liked the console Farcry. I doubt it will be the best FPS this year. I am hoping for a good game with it but this protector game (if it comes out this year) could be just as good.

Besides from the screenshots it looks like a TPS which means its more in competition with Gears and the already released RB6 (due to the sneaking aspect) then with Farcry.

7 - I really wish...
...they'd include mouse+keyboard support for these FPS on the consoles. Making the transition from PC to console was tough controllers just don't seem right to me =( Likewise money is tight and I'm just not able to continue configuring the gaming rig I was putting together anymore.
