City Of Heroes/Tabula Rasa/Lineage/Guild Wars All Coming To PS3?

NCSoft North America president Chris Chung has confirmed that the company are planning to port some of their major PC franchises across to the PS3, in addition to launching a brand new IP that will showcased later this year.

I didn't know that NCSoft had an exclusive deal with Sony for the PS3 and PSN. That was news to me!

Yes, Sony and NCSoft has stated multiple time that ALL MMOs on the ps3 will be free to play.

Home along w/ FREE MMOs, is a dangerous combo.

I'm really excited by the all the MMOs coming to PS3 (was into WOW until just recently) but I'm worried that players will be spread over too many different games including Home. The best part of an MMO IMO is having a lively community so I hope they stagger these releases and/or sponsor community building events to get people into these games.

even when the PC crowd hears the FREE mmo news, some WILL buy a PS3 just for the FREE MMOs, it`s way cheaper in the end.

well if we can cross play with pc users then it should play out all right but if its just with ps3 users well the worlds might be kinda empty.

have about 25 people on my friends list and they never seem to play the same game for more than an hour. when it comes to mmo most of the time you want to put a lot of time into it so you can do the cool stuff with other people.

BUT... When you play an MMO ESPECIALLY if you have just one friend it gets so addicting then any other game out their you loose your life to them. I personally tried over like 30 mmos...(sounds sad..) and after the last one I decided to give them up, which was 2Moons good mmo but too competitive for me.
I hope they put some free to dl also not just free to play. Put some of those up their and could open the MMO market on console.

Guild Wars is a very good game. Better then WoW. I played both.

It does not have grind feast and leveling bullcrap and hunt for leet armor. there is leet armor but different in looks not stats.

Its more competitive game. Guilds VS Guilds and Nations VS Nations.

Also its more skill based. in fact you can only use 8 skills at once not have like 32542353245 skills and you are god mode like rest of mmos.

I would really like to see City Of Heroes if they do decide to make it free to play on console. Another benefit of having games on console no lag spikes and things that mess you up when grinding or pvping. If done right this could be revolutionary to the MMO world.

Also keyboard and mouse support is a must!.

Looks like there are tons of games on the ps3 which are gonna be coming out in 2009 as WELL.

But, I think the 360 will have quite a few games planned for 2009 as well. MAybe it will be.

2007 = 360 year
2008=ps3 year
2009= ps3/360 year or even maybe someone might tap into the Wii's hidden power and destroy the competition.
