PSM3 Blog: Why the Vivendi/Blizzard and Activision merger will change games forever

While the most casual of games observers might dismiss it as an irrelevance, the biggest - or rather, most significant - news of the year is the merger of Activision and Blizzard; forming a super company that's potentially even mightier than EA. The overall deal is worth an estimated $18.9 billion (88.7m GBP) and sees the (sort of) renamed Activision Blizzard stake a claim for the world's biggest publisher.
