Sony this week said that it will introduce a new 40GB PS3 SKU to Europe on Oct. 10. The new SKU will retail for 399 euros and feature built-in Wi-Fi and HDMI.

Media Create Co. this week reported that Halo 3 topped Japan software sales charts in the last week of Sept. The latest Halo installment was released in Japan on Sept. 27.

Nintendo Co. this week began offering free Wii Remote jackets to consumers. The jackets provide layer of grip around the controller to prevent potential injury or damage.
