Several popular retailers in Portugal have lowered the price on the Playstation 3 bundles.

Worten.pt:
PS3 Killzone 2 bundle for 299 Euros

Fnac.pt:
PS3 and 5 games for 399 Euros

Are you kidding me? The PS3 has the games to back up its console. Why do you think the 360 fans are now spouting "Quality over Quantity"? Because the PS3 passed them up in quality games. I've got both consoles and I've got 26 great PS3 exclusives but only 5 Xbox360 exclusives (I have a gaming PC so I dont get the inferior multiplatform games like Left4Dead for the 360). The PS3's upcoming list is incredible. Far greater than the 9 exclusives for the 360 coming out.

Portugal is Sony Land, and as a small country it's the best way to test some market options altought this will be in a planetary scale. And i think it would be great if you, as a fellow portuguese didn't write some nasty and typical portuguese words

The PS3 has such a dominant position in the Portuguese market that some retailers only have 4/5 Xbox 360 games available to purchase at any given time. I should post a pic one of these days, it's just ridiculous.

You're right, but you know that between "friends" it's a common practice to talk like that, English users won't understand it, and I wasn't offending no one. But ok, I'll give you credit and I edited my comment, I don't want a fellow portuguese gamer to think of me as a brainless N4G user.

About your appreciation on "Portugal is Sony" land I can't agree much, actually Sony does nothing concerning good marketing in our country, it just happens we love playstation, our costumer service concerning Playstation products is probably one of the worsts in all world, I created a "What to do if your Playstation3 dies" tutorial that has now more than 100 000 views and more than 3000 answers, considering our "small" install base on PS3 that says a lot, many users tal about 10 weeks waiting for a refurbished PS3... yes, TEN WEEKS, sometimes they come broken and there is a lot of BS in the all process, in UK a PS3 takes 1 week to get delivered if it brakes, so I wouldn't say we are Sony land because of the way Sony look at us, we are Sony land because WE support them, they never cared of us, I talked once with SCEP manager and she was rude, they make no marketing and are lucky that we still forgive them the way we are treated.

in most countries it takes long to get a refurbished ps3, I had to wait one month, but I won't complain because they replace in Belgium PS3's with YLOD or broken bluray drives for FREE even if the warranty expired. I only lost my game stuck in the drive

sony costumer service is also very good in belgium.They were always friendly when I called.

The only negative thing about SCE in my country is that they charge too much for ps3 exclusives: Infamous €75, killzone 2 €75, littlebigplanet €65,...

In Portugal if you warranty is expired they give you the "opportunity" to get a REFURBISHED PS3 for "only" 230 Euros, it will have a "new" 2 years warranty (to US gamers: in EU almost everything has a two years warranty).

In Portugal it isn't "Sony" per-se dealing with the warranty's of it's products, it's a spanish company called "stock-Uno", and they are very very bad. People even have to PAY €10 for transport (be the PS3 in warranty or not).

I had my exchanged in 21 working days, I can say I was lucky, many ppl wait from 3 to 7 weeks, in come cases it takes more time and in others less, the "out of stock" excuse is the more common.

Just went to Fnac and was surprised about that.

Two weeks ago there was this "Playstation Week" where every PS game and accessory had a 10% discount and every console had a 5% discount. Sony is doing great :P
