Dissidia Final Fantasy Sold 350,000 Copies At Launch - First Day Sales In Japan

PSP Hyper reports that videogame retailer blog Sinobi reports that 350,000 copies of Dissidia Final Fantasy were sold last Thursday, when the game went on sale in Japan. The number include the super nice 20th Anniversary Limited Pack that come with a special edition PSP, which is around 40,000 units according to Sinobi. It worth noting that Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII also did 350,000 copies on its first day and went on to sell almost 490,000 copies in its first week. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G still has the best first day for a PSP game when it sold 670,000 copies earlier this year (MHP 2nd is second with 512,000).

Not necessarily, this is day 1 sales and Tales of Hearts (Anime Movie Edition) (DS) 107,000 sold the 2nd most so far.

It got bad review from famitsu, and it really matters in Japan what Famitsu has to say. I just hope it doesnt flop, but i heard/read on some forums that it is one of top pre ordered games this year.

Famitsu is just one magazine in Japan. Is like EGM and people saying is the best mag and one that is really important to us.... Not.

Famitsu always gives bad scores to every game related to Gundam or Armored Core and these two are a couple of the biggest franchises there. Are you getting my point? WKC resembles popular series like Ultraman and it could be called mecha too just because of the size of the knight. Japanese love these aspects and I believe the game will sell a lot because of that.

if i remember correctly Famitsu gave LittleBigPlanet 38/40 but we all saw how poor sales it had in japan.

look!! the masses of people dont care much about reviews specially to the games they like or popular!! or how else do u explain EA games sales or COD5 compared to resistance 2 or spider man 3 the movie etc!

halo 3 was average game yet its the 3rd highest selling game after GTA4 and COD4!!

And advertising doesnt brainwash you and force you to buy a game. The reason Halo 3 is the best selling single platform game ever is not only because it was well advertise, or received multiple perfect scores but because its a fun game which million love playing and continue to play to this day

So atleast 40 K PSP were sold on that day alone.

And considering it's the holidays, it's easy to assume over 100 K PSP were sold this week.

It's a fun game, the fighting system is deeper than I thought. People that don't know what they're doing could button mash, but for people that know how to play, they can have some pretty cool and strategic battles.

halo 3 is a fun game!! the graphic choices on the outside parts were good but inside parts last gen. the game overall okay "90"

i am tried of the "sea snail"enemy in halo3 waving there hands in the air before you kill them. sorta kiddie!! i hope they shoot for the stars with the next one and put more "adult content" in. reviews are bought these days or paid for reviewers to not mention aspect of the game that are bad. example gears2 MP. the only revwiews that count are people personal reviews. if someone likes a game then thats good for them. we should not get mad because their views are different from ours! i respect your point of view about halo3. i have a different one thats all.
