Warhammer 40k action game leaked (video)

CVG: Space Marine appears in online video - and looks like Gears.

Someone at THQ is getting bollocked this morning: a full, developer-commentated video of a new Gears-like Warhammer 40k action game, called Space Marine, has leaked all over the internet.

As you can probably guess Space Marine is a third-person action affair (where you play as a Space Marine!) and according to the THQ narrator it's all about an "up-close personal, visceral, melee experience."

"It's the first time that the Warhammer license has been done in such an up-close and personal manner," says the anonymous narrator, "where as the MMO and RTS are more of a god-like experience, we want to get up close and personal."

Looks like fun.
I used to enjoy the hell out of playing the table-top version of 40k a long time ago. Hopefully they can pull this off well.

Would be more cooler if there were all the Nations of Warhammer 40k
Orcs, Necrons, Tau, Chaos Space Marines, but not those scum like Tyranides and Kroots.

I feel so bad for this guy. He is talking about all these things as though they were revolutionary and brand new. Space Marine in a grey or brown environment. Gee, I wonder how many games have used that theme. At least they threw a gothic spin on it.

Still, it does like fun though. They should make the camera-to-finishing-move transition swifter. Right now it just kinda pops into place.

Warhammer invented the space marine in a bleak gothic environment. The second I first saw Gears I immediately thought of Warhammer and Space Marines.

We need an Eldar DMC clone. I love 40k though so I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

[In before the uninformed claim 40k is stealing from other properties, when in fact those properties borrowed from 40k to begin with]

"In before the uninformed claim 40k is stealing from other properties, when in fact those properties borrowed from 40k to begin with"

Too true, the new gears butcher locust is a blatant rip off from the Ogre Kingdoms race in Warhammer. Fact is if they get the combat right and fluid this could be fantastic.

Review - The Hungry Lamb: Traveling in the Late Ming Dynasty (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Oliver Shellding: "I feel The Hungry Lamb is for a specific audience, though I can’t quite align with whom that might be. It’s not thrilling enough to land in constant VN recommendations, it’s got uncomfortable relationships which will put most people off, and the endings never hit the high note that satisfies everything. The twists are pretty recognizable from a distance, the voice acting is good, the character designs are alright and the pacing is decent. So many things rubbed me the wrong way and it makes it very easy to delete it from my PC concluding the review. Dive in if you must because of morbid fascination, but you’ve been cautioned: it’s a downward spiral without anything to make the trip worthwhile."
