Rise in Profits for Playlogic

Edge writes: "Amsterdam-based Playlogic on Wednesday posted higher sales and earnings figures for the second quarter ending June 30, thanks to sales of games including Obscure II for Wii.

Q2 revenues rose 343 percent to $4.3 million, up from $1.1 million for the comparable quarter last year.

The firm said that Dragon Hunters for DS and Simon the Sorcerer 4 for PC helped drive sales. The firm released seven titles during the first half of its fiscal year."
