Wow both limited edition Gears 2 packages are on top at amazon 2 months before their release thats crazy. It wouldnt surprise me if this game beats Halo 3 record for fasting selling exclusive game ever, with 3 SKUs (like Halo 3) and a likely huge market campaign its seems very likely.

I own both systems and have both Gears of War and Resistance. And to be perfectly honest GOW was awsome and one of my favorite games on the 360. On the other hand resistance was just ok in my opinion. The graphics, gameplay and level design were nothing to write home about in my opinion. Im eager to see if they have made some good improvements to part 2.

I think Snakes gun always changed. In Mgs 1 it was a Mk23 .45 caliber socom pistol. In mgs 2 it was a hk usp pistol. Then in MGS 4 it was a m1911 variant perhaps a kimber or a Springfield.

Exclusives on any console are always highly antipated espeically on the 360 where people actual buy games. Since we're talking about amazon practically every 360 exclusive is in the top 100; too human, gears 2 (3 SKUs), IU (yes a JRPG), Banjo, fable 2 (2 SKUs) etc.

But then again no upcoming PS3 exclusive games are in the top 100 except LBP at 98 so i guess some exclusive are more anticipated than others

Fable 2 is kind of a neich title, the original only sold 3 million copies total (2 versions on XBox, the second version on PC and Mac).

In fact there was a special edition of MGS4 and I didn't get it. I didn't get the special edition of any game for that matter including Halo, Gears of War, Assassins Creed, etc. etc.

Nah chainsawing was too easy in Gears 1. You can just trow a smoke grenade to a place with a gun and run into it with the chainsaw. It'll aim automatically on the enemy. Also you have enough time to chainsaw someone if he's using the machine-gun because you need quite a lot hits to die

I can see the Lancer being worth something to collectors in the future. Look at the old hard-to-find games. Prices are going up on collectible gaming stuff. I still have my Viewtiful Joe watch I got from pre-ordering the game on Gamecube. I also have an unopened Resident Evil 4 laser cell I got for pre-ordering, and a some shirt from another game, still wrapped and unopened.

I've bought a few of the limited editions (GeoW, Mass Effectm WWESVR07) and all are worthwhile IMO. I'm getting the LE of GeoW2 at GameStop, but this bundle is just a little out of my price range.

Besides, I should be getting a PS3, so that extra money that COULD have gone toward the Lancer Bundle can go toward PS3 games or Blu-Ray movies.

Technically speaking, any sales at all would be considered "skyrocketing" on a product that was just made available. Going from 0 units sold to any number at all is an awful big increase. :P

Gears will sell itself well but not consoles. Its a sequel to an extremely hardcore game on the same system. All signs point to FAILURE at selling systems.

Just like Resistance 2 (atleast Resi 2 has something different to other shooters which is 8 player co-op and 60 player online)

I liked the conecpt of more players online...back in tribes. But it made me realize how much better it is to have fewer people to have to wait on for a session. Can you imagine waiting in the lobby for 60 people to be all in the same place? And then, when you're all together how long would the match last for? In LAN fests everyone's all in one room anyway, but over the net things can be tiresome.

Also, 60 people is a lot of people to shoot through in a "last man standing" type battle. CTF wouldn't be so bad, but with the odds against you like that, you'd see more scores like 1 to 0. I mean, just getting that ONE point would've meant taking on the friggin world!

Gears's 4on4 and gears2's 5on5 may seem dwarf compared to resistance, but overall I'd prefer not to have to sit around in spectator mode waiting for 2 dudes to finally meet and take each other out. And that's only when the game FINALLY narrows down to just 2 players. Which is gonna be a long wait when you start with 60 players, any of which may just decide to stake out for oh let's say hours at a time!

Well, unless you cheat and use the hammer of dawn or something similar. But then you've got 59 angry people who will no longer like you in their sessions.
