GFI and Russobit-M Merge Announced

Game Factory Interactive and Russobit-M have started a merger process that will result in a holding with an annual revenue of over $45 mln and staff more than 350 people. The main reason for merger is the wish to enter and develop the MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role playing games), console and casual games market segments, which are both new to the companies. Alongside with this, the holding intends in forcing PC games digital distribution. In related news, GFI has signed a deal with Codemasters Online for Russian localization and publishing of Jumpgate Evolution. The company also revealed that it has entered into an agreement with iMusiñ TV GmbH for German language publishing and distribution of Russian online game iMones. The distribution territories include Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
