MS: "fantastic surprises" at E3

CVG reports: "Ex-Nintendo Europe boss David Gosen, now marketing exec at Microsoft, has teased the "fantastic surprises" set to be revealed at this month's E3 show in Los Angeles. Is that 360 Wii Remote finally coming out of the closet?"

Every company has "surprises" at E3, and I feel like Sony's E3 will be the best again. And Nintendo's will be the worst the only thing I can see them announcing is Kid Icarus.

Dead Rising 2 will be multi-plat (Dead Rising 1 is crap anyway, I've got the game and I only played it for a few days and got bored). The best announcement MS could make would be exclusive Resident Evil 5 and Bioshock 2.

If it turns out to be the wii mote style thingymabob that is commonly used as a sex toy, then people would probably laugh at MS.

Blu ray add on would probably make MS seem like Hypocrits and i'm not sure that MS wants to become the laughing stock on the gaming playground.

Securing bioshock 2 as a full exclusive would be a good job well done, but I'm not sure that 2k games will be so sure about doing that, they need all the cash they can get, unless MS promises them something big which would just seem like them buying another exclusive which gamers for the other consoles are less happy about already as it is market spoiling. And if they have secured it as a full exclusive then, they made a blunder not doing so for the first one.

Bioshock 2 as a timed exclusive equals a failure imo, PS3 owners don't mind that they got it late, they are happy they got it at all, but with the DLC included for PS3 owners, well iI'd prefer to wait personally. :/

how is it better when it doesn't work @sswipe and has been taken down until further notice. how is trophies better when it's not supprted in ALL games. how is psn better when you can only get in-game messages but not cross-game chat. what about unfied score and leader broad. what about everyone has a f---kin mic.what about cross-game invites.or custom soundtrack in every game. but all you guys care about is getting trophies for games like MGS4,LBP,R2,uncharted. while dev's support in every 360 game good or bad.

micro usually does pretty good at shows....but every company always thinks their announcements are huge industry game changing events, I expect them to offer more services/features for xbl, show some Gears2, Fable2, Banjo, and few others hopefully they announce ME2 or Bioshock2 and then maybe 1 or 2 new IP's and that will be a good show, most of all I want to see Alan Wake show up, I'm really interested in that game. Heard it all before. I hope no one has any sort of elevated expectations because of this empty promise. I swear, if I see some crappy Wii-mote replica demos with crappy gimmicky games, you can spank my ass and call me the alpha and omega of Sony fanboys (even though technically that would be impossible for me). Becuase I will have officially turned my back on the X360.

All year I have watched a promising, unique and powerful console go under utilised and unsupported, as far as exclusive software and 3rd party software goes. The Xbox was my champion machine this gen, but all it has done is dance around it's potential for a year now and never achieve it. I don't want to see Halo 3.5, or Halo Wars, or Halo Goes to Hollywood or Halo Does Summer Camp, I want some real innovation that MS can say is exclusively possible only on Xbox 360. Too Human looks rubbish, NG2 ALREADY urinates on it's corpse, that's right, Too Human looks like it will be DOA (that's dead on arrival, Itagaki fans). And NG2 isn't a patch on the original's level design (you know, just about the measure of the game). If they say Diablo III will be PC/360 exclusive with cross platform connectivity, they may have a bargaining chip.

But while Gears 2 looks absolutely excellent, they can't rely on it. It's no longer "wait beyond" with the PS3, MGS4 is the finest game this gen. Hands down. Gears of War has the most fun co-op and shooting mechanic, yes, but MGS4's all-round gameplay experience, while not particularly innovative, is just so exciting and plain GREAT that it overshadows all before it. I'm sorry, but it's my opinion, and one that is shared by many of my contemporaries.

The same goes for Sony and Nintendo (though I expect LITTLE from the latter), Resistance looks meh. I have the original and it's just another FPS, there's nothing special about Resistance, the only explanation that I can comprehend for the hype surrounding R2 is just delirious fanboyism, because based on the original there's nothing to be excited about. I'm pretty sure I've offended all sides of the "console war" (the rridiculous concept that it is), but I don't care.

I'm an actual GAMER. You know, one of those people who doesn't have to convince themselves they love something so they can win the internet. Heck, the Diablo 3 trailer got me addicted to Diablo II all over again. Because that's a pure, fun and proven gameplay mechanic. And that's what we need more of, not eye-candy, not aplogetics, and not more blind fanboyism. Open your eyes, folks. Do not buy into corporate dogma and taglines like BLURAY, or LIVE, or CELL, or whatever it is they try to sell to you every day. Let games ( like music and artwork) speak for themselves.

I'm drunk as hell at the moment, so you may excuse the blunt nature of my statements, but I (think) am speaking from the heart. Vodka will do that to you. Up the Irish and all that ;).

...Something that will really get me excited...like Diablo 3 for the 360 (fvcking shweet!...if only). But in all honesty, they will probably talk about gears 2, maybe some Left 4 Dead. They will most likely talk about halo wars, halo chronicles(sp?) and maybe halo 4. What I want is a new series. Something new and interesting that will really get people going (Like when I first heard about assassins creed). I dont think anything really exciting will happen with any system. There might be some big title announcements. Animal Crossing and/or Kid Icirus(sp?) for nintendo. God of War 3 and maybe something else for Sony. Know what I want announced? Assassins Creed 2(even though its a sequel) for both systems.

One thing that I think would be awsome? If sony announced a remake of Shadow of the Colossus for the ps3. Imagine that game in 1080P?

i remember a comment from M$ once saying that it will alternate between Gears and Halo on Christmas releases. A Halo4 game announced for Nov 09? Its bound to happen, then GeoW3 in 2010, Halo5 in 2011, and so on.
