Does Sega need a new console?

Sega has had a loss of a little over $500 million in 2007-2008 and has not had much success.Maybe its time for a Dreamcast 2? But Sega has never been the same every since Sony's release of the Play Station 2 (Japan March 4, 2000 - North America October 26, 2000).

The Sega Dreamcast could not compete with the Ps2. The Ps2 quickly decreased the sales of the Dreamcast not even 2 years after the launch of the Dreamcast. The Ps2 had a DVD player and their game disc were DVD-rom and had much more space. The Dreamcast had online capabilities but they were soon blew away by Microsoft's Xbox that had introduced Xbox LIVE which was a much better experience because it had The Halo franchise and the Tramcar only had Phantasy Star universe.

If Sega were to make a new console some things they would need to look into are...

No, I can't afford another console.

But I think Sega should work on making good/great games again before they tackle a new console.

Does it really matter about spelling if you still get across the correct information?

Dreamcast had announced it was jumping out before xbox released more over even before xbox live launched.
They were never blown away they were already out of the race by then.

See this post it will soon happen to the xbox

A post will be up saying does MS need a new xbox

They got caught up and outsold by the PS3 3 and a half years after PS3 launched
Xbox used DVD-9 while PS3 used Blu-Ray which gave developers more opportunities.
30% of xbox 360 were garbage while PS3 never had a similar problem.
The only thing Xbox had was the Gears and the Halo franchise while PS3 offerd a libery full of good exclusives.
The japaness market especially square-enix was on there ship but never trully supported them.
Xbox360 death came in 2009.
PS3 45 million sold Xbox 360 22.1 million sold.
MS lost the second console war they were in a row.

lose another 500 mil if they made another console probably 5x more than that actually. Sony has already put its sceptor down and been pronounced King of the video game industry.

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
