Mark Beaumont Promoted to CEO of Capcom

Capcom announced today that they have promoted Mark Beaumont, who has served as Executive Vice President, Officer, and head of the consumer software publishing business in North and South America and Europe, to a new position as Chief Executive Officer for the company. In addition, he will retain his duties on the Capcom Board of Directors. Curiously, though it was announced today, the change was effective on April 1st, 2008. Maybe he just didn't believe it until now.
