Memristors are more important to gaming then you know....

Memristors as was stated in the article yesterday are the 4th type of basic component - newly discovered and commercialized.
the 4 basic types are Resistor, Capacitor, Inductor and now the Memristor
A Memristor is basically a means to control magnetic flux- This flux can be used to store data. This means -> faster, higher density, cooler storage for data and the development of analog processors.
Which for gamers means: FAST EFFICIENT STORAGE THAT CAN BE USED AS MEMORY FOR THE CONSOLE OR PC - No more swap file - the entire HDD is as fast as main memory was on older nonmemristor based systems.

Article Quote:
"Using memristors, they have been able to store 100 gigabits on a single die in one square centimeter. That is substantially more than the 16 gigabits for a single flash chip, and a comparable storage density to modern hard drives. In the future, HP thinks they can get that up to a terabit or more per centimeter... with the access speed of DRAM."
