Analyst: 360 Outsold PS3 in February NPD

Xbox 360 eked out a slim win over PlayStation 3 in the US in February, according to Jesse Divnich with virtual stock market The simExchange. On NPD Group's January US hardware sales charts, Sony's PS3 performed notably well against the supply-constrained Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. That month, PS3 was able to top Xbox 360 for the first time and come within striking distance of Wii.

But ahead of the release of NPD's February sales results, The simExchange forecast in a Monday note that Xbox 360 will once again top the PS3, while the Wii has a typical runaway month in first place.
