Circuit City: 3rd-Gen HD DVD players on Clearance

According to a member on High Def Digest, he works at a Circuit City store in America and the Toshiba HD-A3 and HD-A30 players are marked as clearance items. Is this a sign of Circuit City dropping HD DVD player support?

Many people are saying they too have been to their Circuit City and seeing the same thing, so it looks like its widespread!
