Taiwan market: Chi Mei bundling Xbox 360 game consoles with LCD TVs

Chi Mei Group is bundling its 42- and 50-inch full HD LCD TVs with Microsoft Xbox 360 game consoles during the 2008 Taipei Game Show (TGS) from January 24-28.

Chi Mei Group cited a forecast from iSuppli, saying that the global production value of full HD LCD TVs will reach US$75.4 billion in 2011, while adding that the popularity of next-generation game consoles, along with the developing market penetration of HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc (BD) players and increased high definition digital programming content are contributing to the rapid demand growth for full HD LCD TVs.
