Gamer Builds Nuclear Reactor in Home; FBI Pays a Visit

FBI recently paid a visit to a Texas gamer who was attempting to build a small nuclear reactor in his basement. They were accompanied by local cops as well as officials from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

4 - Until I saw it was in Texas

I thought this could have been a guy I worked with.

This guy used PVC piping to try and inflate ballons with hydrogen. He was one of the biggest weirdos i'd ever met in my life. He would just sit around all day drinking 6-packs of Tab (seriously, Tab) and clapping his hands together as he bobbed his head up and down. I'm not kidding. He really did all of that while he would read books about making bombs. Did I mention he was a hardcore Christian?

Also, I forgot to mention that this guy was an E-6 Nuclear Electronics Technician who serves on submarines in the military.

Yeah, I'm not sure on the relevance of his gaming activities. He seemed like a fairly normal brainiac, aside from the nuclear reactor thing, you know. I mean, he wasn't some sort of extremist or total wacko, he just was dealing with cutting edge technology that he is fascinated with. Many scientists in the past run "questionable" experiments in their own private "lab" without anyone's knowledge until they make some sort of history making break through. I am curious about the removal of the device at the request of his parents. How old is this guy? He will soon be employed by the government. Just wait and see!

Seriously what did it matter if he played video games? Did he talk on the phone too? Watch TV? This is not game newsworthy just normal news although pretty funny that someone can claim to have uranium over the net and not think anyone is listening or even that having highly radioactive substances is really not good for your health.
