3 - Are they leaving out handheld titles?

Because some PSP games had some decent boxart like Jeanne D'Arc, FFT and Disgaea. I'm sure some DS games had good ones too.

6 - Another pointless list, but...

It strikes me as odd that Heavenly Sword's box art makes it into the Best category while Halo 3's qualifies as one of the worst. They both seem to be doing the same thing for me. Nothing. I'm a huge Halo fan, but I can honestly admit that Halo 3's box art is nothing special. I assume it's because it's a female on HS's cover, which is pitiful. It's nice art, but it doesn't impress me at all. Is the person that comprised this list an adolescent?

As I said, though, it's nothing impressive. It's great art, but she's not doing anything that stands out. She's just standing there. That kind of art isn't unique.

9 - What strange is the fact that there's so many artists working for devs these days.

Far are the days were you could find only programmers making games with 20 by 20 pixels monsters...

Now, they have a whole department of artists, and truly, some of those box art are ugly. Rushed job???

9.2 - Good points, gave ya a bubble for them...

Still, when we play the game, we are amazed by the whole graphic aspect. Sure, lighting, shadow, etc, are more the programmers job, but still, those artists are the one who are bringing us the like of MC or Nariko.

Funnily, I have the feeling that they likely make about 25 boxarts, and it's marketing who's picking the worst one (likely based on your very good points).

I'm pretty bad at drawing, but wow, I could likely do something as good as Crysis or Supreme Commander myself! And it would only take me two minutes to do a cut and paste job like the Orange Box.

My god! Fanboyism everywhere! Your comment in itself is fanboyism! There are 3 exclusive ps3 titles on that list (of box art for gods sake!) If you look closely however, there are 3 Wii exclusives too!

I have to agree with you on that one. I love how the PS3 has a crystal clear box. Then when you open it there is also art in the background of the disc placement. The box art extending from the outside to the inside is genius.

PGR4 boxart definitely looked far better than Forza2.

Yes the Orange Box is truly atrocious and cheap, but not what's inside though... same with Halo3 boxart.

Crysis was'nt too bad at all, thought if you want to attract gamers'/consumers' alike with this artwork, it would surely sell.

And I thought Nintendo was mostly for kids, with a boxart like those ( Cheggers Party Quiz, World Championship Darts and Deal or No Deal ) that will surely attract them young'uns.
