1.1: Realism? How many people do you know that have regenerating health, or terror attacks where everyone makes it out alive when even trained SWAT units are sent to take them down?

A better and more "realistic" experience would be if civilians actually got in your way when playing the game in a town, city, etc.

And I thought Infinity Ward said they were going to get rid of "scripting", the dude reloaded the same point and the guard comes out of the same place to melee him.

Hillary Goldstein had a good point on Gamescoop Podcast, someone from IW probably leaked it, wouldn't the ending or more parts of the game be online by now?

Is it necessary to have this as a level? No.
Is it a fantastic piece of story telling? Yes.

Like they say, theres no better way to express the atrocities of terrorism, than by par taking in the senario. I give IW and Activision a pat on the back for having the balls to actually tell this side of the story. They've done what even some Film studios wont allow.

But i get the feeling this level will question your morals, but its still just a game AND IS ALL FANTASY.

The last time I checked, this game is rated "M" for Mature. You have to be 17 years and older to play. It is clearly represented in the ESRB rating that there is violence and gore in this game. Don't blame the game, blame the parents that are letting their kids play these games. Are kids under 17 going to be able to play this game? Of course they are. Think of it this way: Infinity Ward is sending you the information (the game), YOU are making the choice whether or not to receive it. It's not like they're forcing you to play it.

Disturbing and controversial? Yes. Gory! No. There is hardly any gore in those shots. Mostly bloodsplatter and other decals but no body / model damage.

...shooting unarmed civilians constitute a good game?

This really is a new low for the FPS genre.

Sorry, but I can see why this has upset so many people and quite frankly IW claiming its in the game so you can get the full two-sided story is bs. You can tell the same story without having to play it.

However, looking past that and just looking at the graphics. Wow, cloning is abundant again with the same dozen character models and generic movements. Little to no damage caused by a wall of gun fire.

Yep, its a COD game but the new low of shooting unarmed civilians for the sake of story telling is repugnant. How is this any different to having you fly a plane into the WTC in a game? Oh, I guess because the terrorism is not happening on American soil so its ok.

Oh yes, at 5.26 minutes into the game the player gets an achievement award for unnecessary roughness....terrible, simply terrible.

16.2 - Its not about growing a pair...
...its about what is right and wrong. Just because its digital entertainment does not mean its ok. Hell, why not make a game about the shootings at columbine or sniping innocent people on the streets of the US. Just because its not personal to you does it make it ok?

I have no problem with violent video games, hell, I'm looking forward to God of War III just like a lot of PS3 owners but I think MW2 is crossing the line on this one.

Games don't need that type of violence to be fun and entertaining else Uncharted 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, COD4, etc would have failed.

As for your comment about growing a pair, only knuckle bleeding, banjo playing trailer trash would make such a suggestion.
